Getting ready
Do at home
Athletics 3b, 3d, 6a, 6b; Personal Fitness 7. These can't be done at camp. The Scout finishes them with a merit badge counselor in your council, before or after camp. Camp records everything the Scout completes here.

About the badges
Athletics
The Athletics merit badge encourages Scouts to improve their physical fitness, set personal goals, and develop discipline through training and competition. Scouts learn about sports safety, nutrition, and the importance of warm-ups and conditioning. They also track their progress in selected athletic events and show commitment to a regular fitness routine.
Personal Fitness
The Personal Fitness merit badge encourages Scouts to take charge of their health and well-being through goal setting, physical activity, and education. Scouts learn about nutrition, exercise, and mental wellness while developing a personalized fitness plan. This badge requires commitment both during and after camp, as Scouts track their progress over time.
Signing up
Your unit leader registers each Scout for classes in MyCouncil when your week's registration opens in late April. Classes fill up, so list a second and third choice for each session.
