Draft: may still change
Scouts learn how a rifle works, how to handle it safely, and how to care for it. Once they have the fundamentals, they can apply them to a range of rifle-shooting sports. Scouts use a .22 caliber single-shot rifle to qualify for the marksmanship requirements.
