About the badges
Basketry
Basketry is a handy skill for a Scout. A basket can be a sturdy companion on campouts, carrying clothes, holding potatoes and corn for roasting over a campfire, or bringing the day’s catch back to camp. Baskets and basket-weaving projects also make great gifts for family and friends.
Leatherwork
Scouts explore leather’s history and its endless uses. They make a useful leather item using the same kinds of raw materials our ancestors used, practice skills like hand-stitching, lacing, and braiding, and learn how to preserve and protect leather so it lasts a lifetime.
Signing up
Your unit leader registers each Scout for classes in MyCouncil when your week's registration opens in late April. Classes fill up, so list a second and third choice for each session.
