About the badges
Weather
Meteorology is the study of Earth’s atmosphere and the ways temperature, wind, and moisture work together. Scouts learn how everyday weather is predicted and about extreme weather such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes, and how to stay safe.
Oceanography
Scouts study the science of the ocean, including waves, tides, and currents, the life that lives there, and how the ocean shapes weather and climate.
Signing up
Your unit leader registers each Scout for classes in MyCouncil when your week's registration opens in late April. Classes fill up, so list a second and third choice for each session.
